Duplicate fields in table DTFIGL_4 prevent activation during maintenance

Dear colleagues,

I am applying Support Package Stacks 4 through 10 to my application components and am receiving an error during the DDIC Activation phase for table DTFIGL_4. The error is copied below:

Activate table DTFIGL_4

Append structure ZADTFIGL_4 appended to table DTFIGL_4

Enhancement category 3 possible, but include or subty. not yet classified

Field FISTL in table DTFIGL_4 is specified twice. Please check

Field GEBER in table DTFIGL_4 is specified twice. Please check

Field GLVOR in table DTFIGL_4 is specified twice. Please check

Field PERNR in table DTFIGL_4 is specified twice. Please check

Field name BKTXT can be provided in this system. Please do not use.

Field name KTOSL can be provided in this system. Please do not use.

Flag: 'Incorrect enhancement category' could not be updated

Table DTFIGL_4 was not activated

It seems that the Support Package Stacks now contain columns in the delivered table that are in the existing, pre-maintenance 'Include' structure "CI_BSIS". Due to the duplicate columns the table can not be activated. What is the process for fixing this error?

Hi Fishy,

It seems somebody changed table DTFIGL_4, so go through the log and fix it and activate it, then start applying the patch. You may better discuss with with ABAPer once he will clearly tell you about table status.
