MDM Data Manager and Import Manager do not start

Hello,

today I deinstalled MDM SRM Catalog 1.0 (MDM 5.5 SP04) and installed MDM SRM Catalog 2.0 (MDM 5.5 SP05) to our Prototyp System. I can start MDM Console and load my SRM_MDM_catalog repository. But when I start Data Manager or Import Manager they hung up. I only get 'Connect to MDM Repository' in the upper left corner, the rest stays grey.

Any ideas?

Hi Stefan,

Unfortunately you have discovered a known issue that we recently discovered in development. The problem is that you have a registry entry for an MDS server that the connect code is trying to use by default when you open Data Manager or Import Manager, and apparently that MDS server cannot be reached.

Please go into your registry (standard warnings and caveats apply here and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP\MDM 5.5\Client. Delete the entry called "Last Database". (It will be re-created by the software.)

This should fix the problem with opening Data Manager and Import Manager.

sap note 1073792 MDM 5.5 SP05 Patch02 Release
