Images - Data Groups

We are trying to use the Data Groups feature for Images. Multiple suppliers could have the same name for an image but a different picture. When creating a map, is there a way/function which will allow the Automap to work for images in their respective Data Group? For instance, the import file contains an image named: 100-Desktop.jpg and the image table has 100-Desktop.jpg for a specific client. Can Automap work, regarding, mapping the 100-Desktop.jpg to the specific Data Group? Currently, we are using 1 repository for multiple clients.

Automap wont work here. U need to create an extra field the reference field in the source side and <b>MANUALLY</b> map that reference field in the source side to the Look Up field in the destination side.

Hi Jarred,

Automapping will not work in the scenario you are saying because for auto mapping the names should be same and in case of images we need to do value mapping manually.

Hi Jarred,

I dont think the automap feature will help you for mapping different images for records. Data Group is just like logically clubing different images into one. You cannot use automap feature for the Data Groups.During importing you will have to map the records for individual clients to individual images.
