Is is possible to use the XSD imported from the data type and create the external definition to create the message interface directly without creating the message type.
It is not possible to use an XSD exported from the datatype as an external definition, because it does not contains a message definition. You can add a message definition to the XSD by hand, have a look on how XI does this.
