Alert Container Variables not seen in Alert Messages

Former Member

Hi,

I have defined an Alert Category and have included few container variables in long text message. The message looks as follows:

Error occurred in message &SXMS_MSG_GUID&

Currently I am using only internal processing. Alerts are received in my inbox successfully. However, the container variable is not substituted with appropriate value. The message I receive in inbox is as follows:

Error occurred in message <SXMS_MSG_GUID not found>

Kindly let me know what could be the reason for this.

Thanks,

Bhavish

Hi,

Have you tried any of the other variables such as sender interface etc ?

Are these blank as well ??

Cheers

Colin.

Hi,

I have tried other variables as well. They are also coming just the same way.

Thanks,

I've heard that for some reason you have to select the variables rather than typing them in the alert text.

Maybe that is the solution you need.

Hi,

I have selected variables and not typed. Still, the error persists.

Thanks,
