there is such standard restriction setting, but instead can use USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE (user exit)

Is there any alternative other than User Exit , because i was told by ABAPer that system doesnt propose one to do so .. so is there any other alternative other than user exit???

You can try the same by using the USEREXIT program MV45AFZZ and in that userexit_document_save.Here the end user is allowed to entar 101 items but when it comes to saving the document it will give an error and wont allow the user to save that document.Reward if useful.

for eg i dont want end user to add more than 100 line items in sales order ?? is it possible and if yes how is it possible?
