What is the Background Program that Runs while Performing the Transports

What is the Background Job / Abap Program that Runs while Performing the Transports (Exports and Imports), what are the Phases that it will go through while Importing the Request, and How to view the Process and Phases that it goes through in SAP or OS Level.

use SM37 and type job name RDD*

This is the job that perform the transport.

mainly, it runs RDDIMPDP, but also another bunch of RDD* program can be run depending on the transport contents, what need to be activated/created/changed.

it`s almost impossible to give you a full list. go into transaction SE38, enter RDD* and press the F4 button... you will see, the list is huge.
