XI planned downtime

Hi All,

We have implemented XI, and XI integrated with SAP.

Now SAP has some planned downtime, and we need to know if SAP is offline, what should XI do, and I believe all message will be held in XI.

Does any one know some standard strategy for this situation?

Hi,

your R/3 and XI will be on two diff servers right? when R/3 is down, still the xi system will be available but till the time your R/3 is back there will be no message flow between the two systems.

If there are any messages lying down in XI then you can restart them once your R/3 is up.

yes, but anyway, XI will always have downtime in every year, how to deal with XI downtime, and what need to be considered when XI back
