SDM undeploy and JSPM undeploy How does it work?

I have undeployed a couple of CAF components 7..10 version however instead of backleveling to .9 version it removed the component completely. Is this the way SDM udeployment works. Also what does JSPM undeploy do related to SCAs?

I am strugglinmh with undeploy and redploy concept and how it relates to JSPM and SDM.

Is there an SAP document that describes specific scenarios and and examples so as not to wreck our entire CAF baseline?

Thanks

Mikie

Undeploy removes the component, yes. There is no version history in this.

If you want to go to an earlier patch level, you should load an older SCA of the component in the SDM an select the option to update SCAs that have ANY version. In that way SDM overwrites the component completely with the older patch level.
