Should i install only ABAP or Java also

Hi Balaji,

Its depen on your scenario.

Normally you dont need Java.

But if you want to use BI 7 new reporting, you should install BI-Java also EP.

i want to work on BEX Analyser, Query Desinger, Report Designer and WAD.

As mentioned by Santosh... you'll need java for WAD and some BEx functionalities

Hello Balaji ,

Both will require ABAP + JAVA(Optional )

Why JAVA required :

BI Information Broadcasting allows the user to precalculate BEx Web applications, BEx

queries and BEx Analyzer workbooks as required, or to distribute these in SAP Enterprise

Portal 6.0 on Web AS you will require JAVA stack to be install .
