Dear Gert-Jan,

In the mean time I was going through the thread that you had posted earlier and I fail to understand why an Message processor would change an IBASE component of an Support Desk Message ?

He should be changing the priority of an message or the SAP Component or the status of the message. But IBASE component change ?? I am not fully convinced with this requirement.

When a message is sent from a satellite system to the Solution Manager

the system recognizes the installation number and the system ID of the

sending system. Based on this data the IBase component is determined.

In the Ibase component normally some partners are maintained (in stan-

dard this should be sold-to party, administrator and key user) and these

partners are copied to CRM notification.

Can you please let me know the requirement for changing an IBASE component for an message ??

Hi Amit,

In my case, we created the service desk messages directly from the SolMan system.

In that case, certain users by mistake selected different iBASE component.

Later, we were in a position to change the iBase component.

best regds,

Alagammai.

Hi Amit,

Alagammai is right.

We also create our service desk messages directly in the SolMan system

Dear Gert-Jan,

Hmm. This is an scenario that I never thought of ( although it is non-standard ).

The best way to get this resolved is to open an SAP message in the component SV-SMG-SUP.

I think an logon to your system will be required to see what configuration you have maintained. Our SAP Experts will be able to perform the analysis and give you a exact resolution.

Hey GJ,

If you are willing are ready perform some coding, we can work this out.

Before that i need to know " When you change the Ibase component ie at what status ??

I dont know whether there is a standard way of achieving it, if there isnt, then revert back..

Hi Anand,

It would be great if you can give us some coding to solve this problem !

We change the Ibase Component when the Service Desk selected the wrong component, mostly at Status New.

If you need some more info, don't wait to ask for it !

Hey GJ,

Let me know what logic you use for SOLD to party and Support team assignment.

Correct me if i am wrong, Depending on the system the sold to party and Support team is determined.

Anand,

We are using the partner assignment in transaction IB52.

When an Ibase-Component, the system checks the values for sold-to-party and support team specified in this transaction !

Hey Van,

The partner determination for ibase will only work once when the support message is initially created.

I dont think will should work at all times.

Now through coding it could be done, i will develop and post it later on.
