Configuring J2EE engine in NWDS

Hi All

I have installed NetWeaver sneak Preview successfully.I want to configure the J2EE engine in NW Developer Studio.I have configured it throw Windows-->Preferences.I have given host and message server port.I have tried these ports 3600,3601,50010,50110.Finally I found 50110 is the message server port.But with this port ,i am getting an exception saying that "Message server didn,t respond with in 60sec.Plz check if the message server is running and socket connection has been made".

Can plz teel me what is the problem.

Hello Sampath. We run the NDS with a local J2EE engine. When we do that we don't specify a port number in Preferences for the local engine.

We just go into Windows>Preferences>SAP J2EE Engine and choose the "SAP J2EE engine is installed on local host" radio button. Then click on Browse button and pick your local instance.

For the "SAP J2EE engine is installed on remote host" we have port 3901 specified.
