I am trying to install the Solution Manager 4.0 on Linux SuSE 10. One of the steps is to install the Oracle RDBMS and the related patch set.
I have installed the Oracle RDBMS and was following the steps outlined in Note # 839182 to install the patches. The patch installation is giving the following error:

Any pointers to why this error is happening?
I downloaded the patches from download -> database patches -> Oracle -> oracle 10.2.0 64-bit -> Oracle 10.2.0.2 -> linux_x86_64. Along with the patches, there were also Patchset_10202_Linux-x86_64a[abc].bin files. Do I need to install these file also? If so how (the note doesnt explain on how to install these)?
Thanks,
Hi,
Yes, you need to install the Patchset_10202_Linux-x86_64a[abc].bin, check note 871735.
The sequence steps:
1. The Oracle Software 10.2 -> OUI
2. The Patchset 10.2.0.2 -> OUI
3. The Patch collection -> Opatch
Hope this helps,
George
