As part of our security policy we have a parameter set in production so that 2 digits have to be used in the password. The password generated by the system for TMSADM account doesn't have any digits so the password becomes invalid. You can manually change the password in SU01 but you can't edit the password in the RFC connection. It means that every time we refresh the transport list in production we have to log into all the clients and there are a lot!!
Any idea's?
Hello Chris,
As per SAP:
The first initial password of the TMSADM user is a fixed character string of 8 characters, consisting of upper/lower case letters, numbers and special characters
However, the convenience of having a TMS configuration is not compatible with stringent password rules. If, however, you need to use more stringent password rules, proceed in accordance with Note 761637
If you have alredy gone through the following notes:
Note 713622 - Password rules prevent TMSADM logon
Note 761637 - Login restrictions prevent TMSADM logon
Note 749977 - Remote logons using standard client in the TMS
then I guess you need to raise an OSS message.
