Guide me in installing SAP xMII 12.0

Hi folks,

I've already installed SAP xMII 11.5 on my system. I wanna install the new version - xMII 12.0

Could u please guide me through each step. And what are the prerequisites in installing version 12 on my system?

Are you an SAP Employee ?.. did you try to contact the Service at the marketplace team to help you out with the login in..?

If you are within SAP , there is an internal wiki that you can use for the installation. And I am afraid that is available only for Employees as it guides on custom installations.

Basically you need

1) Netweaver 714 core with SP 10

2) Either MS SQL / MaxDB

3) xMII 12.0 SCA file

4) SAPCAR

5) JCo libs

If you have all of the above,

Install the database first, then your Netweaver. Use SAPCAR and unzip the JCo libs..they are two DLL files which you have to put in your C:\Windows\System32 directory and add them to your Path env variable. Then you use the Service Deployment Manager (SDM) from Netweaver to deploy XMII 12.0 . sca file.

If you can't access the website, then how did you legally get the 11.5 installation software and license file for 11.5?

http://service.sap.com is the SAP Service Marketplace for acquiring software, guides, etc. Since version 12.0 is currently in Ramp-Up only approved customers and partners have access to the 12.0 software, which requires NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) SP10 or higher - Java stack only.

The basic system requirements for xMII 12.0 should be easy to find in the standard guides. http://service.sap.com/instguides
