Upgrade R3 4.6c to ECC 6.0, Impact on Portal.

We are planning an upgrade of R3 4.6c to ECC 6.0. i want to know what can be the impact on the Portal side with this upgrade. We are currently using EP6.0 (WAS 6.2).

Any pointers about the User Administration change, Content Management, Knowladge Management, SP Upgrade etal would be of assistance.

You better upgrade your portal first to EP6SP15+ or EP7.0 before upgrading your R/3 backend system to 6.0

Did you upgrade R3? Can you please post your findings? Anything which may be helpful for other people who are involved in similar tasks. What was your testing strategy regarding hardware, application testing, BP testing...?

My 2 cent is - I don't think there is any impact on portal while doing R3 to ECC 6 apart from configuring new system. I dont think there would be any impact on SAP delivered content but impact needs to be evaluated for custom applications - BSP, Java/ABAP WebDynpro.
