Hi All,

We have upgraded the BW3.5 to BI 7.0 with unicode conversion, during this process we have removed the usr/sap folder... .During the import of the database using sapinst tool for unicode conversion.

After that system is up with unicode enabled but j2ee server not configured and not installed. I am not able to see j2ee folder inside the usr/sap. Not able to up the HTTP services in SMICM .

Our system is Abap stack.

Please suggest how to install J2ee server ...

Thanks,

Subhash.G

Hi Kumar,

Thanks for the reply, we have installed the java add-on for ABAP system using sapinst it had installed the SCS instance and we got the SCS04 folder.

But still i am not able to find the J2ee engine folder in the Instance folder DVEM...05, it means J2ee engine is not installed.. How to install the J2ee engine now.

Please suggest..

Thanks,

Is it right, that you did the following steps:

- BI 3.5 with an NW04 Java Addin

- Upgrade to BI 7.0 and upgrade in parallel to NW2004s Java AddIn

- Export the database using sapinst

Is that correct?

If yes, what option did you choose when you exported the database? Did you choose to export a combined ABAP + Java instance?

Dear Subhash,

I hope that you have not completed the installation for J2EE Usage type.

What is the option that you have used to install java addin using sapinst?

Hi all,

Thanks for reply,

I have solved the problem.

I had selected the Java add-on for ABAP in additional life cycle in SAPINST tool.

I had selected the three steps in that one and completed that steps, now java engine is working.
