Hello XI experts...

I am having two years of JAVA experience....Which one is best option for me

PORTAL or PROCESS INTEGRATION(XI)

Is WebDynpro is Separate tool in NetWeaver?

Please advice me.

Hi Sharat,

Welcome to SAP Netweaver. You can go for both.

But, for you I can suggest PORTAL only ,because Java experience is only requirement for PORTAL

For XI you need to know some ABAP and some IDOCs, RFC configurations

But still you can Opt for any thing , which you feel interested to work..

Hello Sharath,

Welcome to SAP world. I am into SAP PI for last one year. Though i am having couple of years java experience. For PI, both Java and ABAP experience required. However, I don't have ABAP experience previously. But, i felt it is easy to learn. If you choose PI, it requires some effort to understand SAP names like ABAP, IDOC, RFC, ALE etc.,. All the best and you bet for PI.
