BOM Explosion in Delivery (VL01N)

Hi,

I have business requirement in BOM Explosion in sales. At the time of sales order (basically this is created when receive the PO from the customer), BOM is not finalised in the system and this is finalised before producing the material & even sales BOM also finalised before production. So, when i copy the item from order to delivery, in that level requirement to explore BOM.

Can please help in this.

Hi Gautam:

If you want to overwrite the Item category manually, make sure u configure the Manual entries that are allowed for item category.

The menu path is Sales and distribution, sales , sales document item and assign item categories.

there is no BOM explosion in delivery.

You have to make some custom development or ask the user to change item category so that the BOM is exploded before delivery.

Thanks for your reply.

As per your answer, ur saying we can change the item category but item category is grey at the sales order level and its not modifable.

Can please help how to make editable.
