Hai,
We were using solution manager 3.2 which is an abap installation, now we are planning to install the solution manager 4.0 which have the ABAP +JAVA instance.
But i am not getting the idea of what are the adavantages of Java in solution manager.
I think if i am not mentioning to the management, the solution manager 4 will use as ABAP system, i don't think anyone will use the java part.
If anyone can explain or link to the docuement were i will get the informaiton of the use of java part , that would be great.
With regards,
Bijoy Babu
Dear Bijoy,
The Java engine in Solution Manager 4.0 plays an important role. It is used for the SLD or System Landscape Directory. It is used when you configure Solution Manager Diagnostics for your Java Based Satellite Systems.
Without SLD and Diagnostics you can only monitor ABAP based instances with Solution Manager ABAP stack.
I hope this reply clarifies the doubt.
Regards
Amit
