Security Upgrade to BI 7

Hi Experts,

I am new to security upgrade.

Just want to know,

1: what are steps involved in upgrade from BW 3.5 to BI 7.

2: Which one do we do first

a: Profile Generator (Su25)

(or) b: Migration report

for BI 7.

First, I suggest searching in SAP help or the forums for previous posts and researching in order to learn what is required.

The Su25 step is still needed because it upgrades the existing authorization objects; the migration of the old reporting concept to the new can be done via the program or just created manually. You need to do both to 1) upgrade (Su25) to include new authorization objects and 2) upgrade to the new analysis authorization feature which replaces the old reporting authorization concept.
