Can anybody explain what "text item" is and what the use of "text item" is?

This item category is supported for all BOM categories (for example, material BOM, equipment BOM). It allows you to enter a text of any length you require.

The text is processed using the SAPscript editor.

This text is saved to the text file using the long-text processing functions.

There wont be any pricing for a text item and check the ITEM RELVENT FOR DELIVERY in VOV7.

An item in a sales and distribution document that contains text only.

During sales order processing, the user can enter information for the customer or for internal purposes in a text item.

suppose u have a dvd player as a material and u have to provide the user regarding how to operate and the functions of dvd in a user guide or manual.

this user guide is nothing but text item

maintain MMR for this text item and the item category is tatx

Or + Norm + Text + TAN --- > TATX.
