Hi

free goods are ,, where the product is given of free of cost when u buy certain volume .which is free of cost

but bonus buy is that which are offered to the customer along with certain product which is given at lesser cost

example tv---10000

dvd 5000

total 15000

if u go bonus buy u get at 12000

Bonus buy is a functionality we use to give more than one material at a different rate than what we normally give them when they are sold together. Like if A is 15/- and B is 20/- when sold individually but when sold together, we can sell them at say 30/- which is at a reduced price.

Configuration follows the same condition technique where we create a condition table, an access sequence , a condition type, a pricing schema and activate that schema by assigning it to the required combination of sales area, cust pric proc, doc pric proc. After which finally, maintain the records using transaction code VBK1. Here give the conditon type for which you want to maintain the condition records with proper selection of materials required to be sold as a combo deal.

1.Free goods is currently only supported on a 1:1 basis. This means that an order item can only be the source of one free goods item. You can't give 2 free goods

2.The free goods item is determined automatically by the system, according to the data in the free goods record. In the standard system TANN BASED ON vov4 settings

3. You can specify that a bonus buy is granted if the customer buys a specific quantity previously defined as a prerequisite.

You offer a special price for customers buying particular drinks in crates of six. The bonus buy will be granted if a customer buys a crate containing two bottles of drink A and four of drink B.

To map this to the system, you would create an article grouping containing drink A and B, each with a quantity of 1. You then define a bonus buy condition with the article grouping as a prerequisite. You enter a quantity of 6. You also select the summation indicator

for bonus buy cuatomer will get one free item and discount on oteh item

but in free goods he will only get one free good item no other discount

Hi,

Free Goods:

In this scenario you give an item free with the main item. Like buy 10 and get 2 free. Here you pay for 10 items and get the other 2 items for free. To be more precise the price of the main item is Rs.100/- & the price of the item which is being given for free is Rs.15/- each. So you will pay only Rs.1000/-. You need not pay the extra Rs.30/-. In SAP there are 2 different free goods scenario -

1. Inclusive free goods - Buy 2 get 1 free. The total quantity of items are 2, you pay for 1 & get the other 1 for free. The main item and the free goods item are the same

2. Exclusive free goods - Buy 2 & get 1 free. The total quantity of items are 3, you pay for 2 & get the 3rd one for free. The main item and the free goods item are different from each other.

BONUS BUY:

Take the example of electronics goods shop. Suppose the basic price of a colour TV is Rs.18000/- & the basic price of a DVD palyer is Rs.6500/-. If i want to buy both the items I will have to pay total Rs.24500/-.

Now to lure the customers what the shopkeeper will do, he will introduce a scheme. Buy the colour TV and get the DVD player for Rs.4000/- only. So in this case the customer will have to pay total Rs.22000/- only. So the customer will pay Rs.2500/- less. This is called as bonus buy.

Reward points if solution helps.

Hello Friend,

free goods are either inclusive or exclusive if a customer orders for 10 products he will get 1 free for that no price is charged this is exclusive scenario

if a customer orders 10 products he will get 9+1 for 1 product he wil not charged this inclusive scenario

for bonus buy if a customer orders regularly 10 products in one occasion if he orders 1000 products he will be given less price than the price he will get for 10 products this bonus buy scenario

Free goods are considered to be merchandise, moveable belongings or personal property. Free goods are those which economists are not interested in because in free goods doe not offer the opportunity for creating a cost for usage. The best example of free goods is air because there is no scarity of air. Economists are interested only in goods, which can be manipulated to create cost for useage. Free goods are plentiful, you have as much as you want without a chance for future cost to society.
