Material Master XML file

Hi,

We want to create material master XML file to import in the MDM Import Manager.

Does anybody know how to create material master XML file.We have ALE set up done for the same.

Hi Priti,

you can use transaction MDM_CLNT_EXTR and create an extraction variant for the material. Or you can use transaction BD10 to send materials. to know how it would create XML file of materials.

Hi Priti,

transactin BD10 is basically an ABAP report that calls standard function modules (e.g. MATERIAL_EXTRACT) to collect the materials fromt he data base. It holds the data in internal tables and then calls some ALE function modules (e.g. MASTER_IDOC_SEND) to create the IDoc structure and send the data via RFCs to the receiving system.
