Hello,
I am facing a performance problem and I try to use the new early watch alert report for AIX virtualized environment.
Our environment is AIX 5.3 with full virtualization:
- one of our micropartition ( database server) is configured as follow:
uncapped,
cpu entitlement: mini=2, desired=4,5, maxi =8,
virtual cpu=8
My question is:
in the early watch report I have 82% cpu max load for this micropartition databaser server.
What does 82% means ?
percentage of physical cpu versus desired entitlement?
percentage of physical cpus versus virtual cpu ?
other.....
Thanks a lot for your answer
Maurice
Do you use the newest saposcol on that box to get the correct statistics?

Hello Markus
yes,the last saposcol according to the note 994025 was used on that box by the customer.
My question concerns the % of cpu used displayed in the early watch alert report.
Is there also a new display for it with for example the physical number of cpu consumed, entitlement consumed.. as in the new transaction os06n, st6n, os7n...
Or if not what means the % of cpu used displayed in this report?.
regards
Maurice
