Choose the printer tray (DESTINATION)

Hello Experts.

I'm dealing with a new issue (at least for me).

I'm sending the output to a local printer (SWIN) what makes the SMARTFORM printing to use the default windows printer settings like:

- print on both sides of the paper (tumble duplex),

- use paper tray 4 (the one that has A4 rotated option).

This is working fine.

However, the printer has 2 output trays (paper destination after printing), and is choosing the wrong one (the windows setting is choosing left, and is leaving from right tray). Is there a print control to choose the destination tray of the printer (not the paper tray)?

It must be the left because it breaks the paper in 2 places.

Hi Valter,

To print pages from particular trays only we have a option in SAP scripts and Smartforms

SAP Scripts:

1.Go to Pages 
2.Check Print Attributes Rersource name
3.Give tray name in the resource name

Smartforms
1. Go to pages and windows 
2. Select first page output options 
3.GIve the Tray name

first page will come from that particular tray

if u need 2 page from different page that need to give that tray name

Hi, Valter. I'm having the same problem, we have a printer with several output trays and the first is designed for print NF, the second is the one I want / have to use but the SAP always send it to the firts tray. How do you solved your problem? The solution requires ABAP programing?

Hi Gross,

No need to do any thing throught programming

we have an option in the smartforms itself to select trays for that printer.
