Same customer in 2 company codes

Hi all,

Suppose if 'A' is a customer in company code1 and also in comany code 2. How should the customer master records be created and what is the configuration for this.

Hi Vikrant,

You can extend the customer to a different company code by using the Tcode XD01. This is the same way as we extend the customer to a different sales area. In the initial screen of XD01 we have to key in the CCode and sales area details in which we want to create the customer and in the reference details we have to mention the CCode and sales area of the customer in which he already exists. Now we have to fill the CCode data and Sales Area data of the customer master and not the General data, since the details in the General data are not specific to any company code or sales area and is already existing in the master data.

No configuration requried but you can extend the customer to other company code in XD01 if data is same for the customer

u can extend the customer from one company code to another if all the details are same

in XD01 enter the customer name and also enter the same customer as in refernce customer , sales org etc.

There is no configuration for this

The customer is extended ie., create a customer with company code 0001 & sales area 0001/01/01.

extending in company code:0002

again goto XD01 enter cust code which you have created with comp code 0001 & now in comp code u enter 0002 & corresponding sales area

It will take u to the screen inside which u have to feed the values & save.

Now the cust is available for both comp codes

we need to creat the customer master in 2 company codes. no other opition.

dear vikrant,

you dont need to do any configuration for this, a customer can be a customer to any number of company codes,

if you have the customer for one company code and want to have for another company code aslo, simply you can extend to othercompany code.

i think for company codes level u cannot extend with my knowledge.
