can any please explain me what SYNC-ASYNC BRIDGE and when we use that?
Hi
sync async bridge - to enable the communication between a synchronously calling business system and an asynchronously called business system . You can only define one sync/async bridge for each integration process.

Hi,
You can go through the following blog

To add to that when we design our standard normal scenarios modes of both the sender and receiver system are same for ex either they will be synchronous or asynch.
Now consider a scenario where a R/3 system is sending a message through RFC which is synchronous to a file / jdbc system that is Asynchronous.
In these cases we need a bridge callled synch -> asynch.
There could be other sceanarios where u can have Asynch -> Synch scenario.

go to IR..and under s/w component SAP Basis, under namespace patterns, u wud find all bpm patterns..
u wud understand the working of sync-async ther frm that scenario..
