Re SAP Web GUI

Hi! I have some users in Poland and Sweden that need to access SAP and I am looking into the SAP Web GUI. Would it be better to go with ITS or the Enterprise Portal?

Thanks

Jerry

I tried walking through the configuration guide for the SAP GUI for HTML, but am having issues with signing in to the GUI. I can get to the login page, but once I enter my credentials, I receive an error message. Has anyone experienced this before, and if so how do I resolve it.

Thanks

Jerry

Hi Jerry,

You have to make sure that the services webgui and system are published. It is also required to activate sap/public/bc/mimes in SICF. If you have done this and the error still occurs you should tell us what error occurs. A screen shot at http://imageshack.org would be helpful.

Hi Klaus,

Do you know the sap notes on how to turn on the integrated ITS server after the installation? How to test if the ITS server is turned on?

Thanks

To clarify my question, the Poland and Sweden users will be using the SAP Web GUI in replacement of the SAP FrontEnd Gui.

Hi,

in this case the answer is:

SAP Web GUI is a service provided by the ITS - you have to use the ITS.

Hi Jerry,

this depends on what they want to do. For running Dynpro based transactions WebGUI will be fine.
