what does the Nielsen indicator in SAP define and where is it used?

Nielsen ID

Specifies a regional division according to the market categories created by the A. C. Nielsen company.

Use

By allocating a Nielsen division, you can use the services of the Nielsen Institute to create a market analysis of your customers.

Nielson indicator is used in Customer master data-Sales area data screen -Sales tab page there itself we maintain this field.

i AM not sure but I think AC Nielsen is an independent target oriented (mkt reserach) analysis software, it is mapped in the SAP BW server like many other simillar popular applications ie BW can directly accept data from a Nielsen app.
