when do we use cintent conversion?for what types of file formats we use it?

Deepti,

We use file content conversion on the sender and receiever side. We mainly use for any fixed lenght file or any demilited file like comma, pipe etc.

content conversion is widely used in file scenarios.. sender as well as receiver

imagine a scenario wherein you want to send CSV file or say text file to XI. Now XI understands XML so we need a content conversion to convert it to XML.

Reverse case as well.. there can be various industry file formats and receiver system expects data in that particular format. then we need to use content conversion at receiver

Hi,

It is used when a .txt file or .dat file needs to be converted into an xml format.

Using this file content conversion protocol,u can convert a tab separated or comma separated file into an xml structure according to ur requirements.
