Error creating J2EE project WAS 640

Hello,

I downloaded and installed the 640 WAS sneak preview and installed it last week. I am now working on the first J2EE tutorial and I received an error when creating the project - the popup said "Unable to restore: J2EE DC Explorer. Reason: Unable to instantiate view: com.tssap.j2ee.ui.perspective.view.j2ee.j2eeDCview".

Any ideas how to approach this problem?

Thanks,

Scott

Please avoid using the DC view in the J2EE perspective, as this works only with DTR, which is not contained in sneak preview.

You should change to the J2EE view of the project.

Hi Benny,

That's what I thought, but could not figure out how to change that. Is it in a seperate config file?

Thanks,

Scott

In general after such an error (which surely has something to do with nyour workspace) the studio should come up anyway.

If you are in J2EE perspective, you should see the J2EE project view on the left upper side as one of the tabs on bottom of that view.

If this is not available you also can open that view via menu (I think it's Window menu and then go through that list.)

If that is not the case then tell me how you end up.

Benny
