i'm new to XI .. i want to know what are the integration types.. and what is the difference between Process integration and People integration..

I think first you need to have much clarity on SAP NETWEAVER 2004s. Please got through the document in it. If you have access to market place you can find host of document else use google.
People integration relates more to Enterpirse Portal. More concerend with enhancing user prodictivity.
Process Intergration is a integration tool that support process centric based collaboration among sap and non sap components both with in and outside enterprise boundaries.
