Hi All,
I am encountering this issue when trying to connect to DTR. I seen the past posts and yes i created a new user and were able to change the password, however I do not want to assign the user i created admin or developer, i want to create a new role with just read access. I gave that user read access via ACL in DTR however that user still cannot log on.
Hi Kenny,
Thanks for the info but it didnt work. This the steps i taken and get the error:
*created user in ume: test1
*created group in ume: dtrreadonlygroup
*created role in ume:dtrreadonlyrole
*assigned J2EE security role LcrInstanceWriterNR via the visual administrator to group dtrreadonlygroup
*assigned the user test1 to group dtrreadonlygroup
*assigned role to group
*went to NWDS and gave permission to access and read to group dtrreadonlygroup
Problem occurs when logging in to nwds with user test1. gives the following error
accessing server root property (XCM_CLIENT:minVersion) failed: Forbidden [(pre||post)-condition failed: DAV: access-denied]
Any ideas what i missed....

Hello
thanks for the udpated details. I'd like to ask you to try to stop
and start the DTR through the visual administrator if at all possible.
So, start your Visual administrator, and go to the server node, and then
'deploy' service.
click on application, and look for
sap.com/tcdtrenterpriseapp
first of all let me know if it appears to be running (blue tick in the
box). If not, try to start it. If it is running stop it, then start it
again after a few minutes. (Start and stop application options are
available on the right hand of the screen).
Please let me know if you're able to access the dtr alias through the
web browser again afterwards.
