NWDW Installation

Hi all,

I want to install NWDW. I've just read the installation guide and it tells 2 ways to install the software: using SAP DB or using SQL Server.

When I try to retrieve the RDBMS DVD the only option I have is ORACLE.

Where can I retrieve the right SAP DB RDBMS DVD???

Hi,

This is because your company has only the license for Oracle based installations!!

You yan find the Installation files for MaxDB on the SAP Marketplace (is one of the DW Installation Packages), or if you have a full Netweaver DVD set, there is also a installation for SAPDB. You can find it on the Presentation DVD (where the GUI is) under "Content Server".

Why don't you down laod the CD/DVD's directly ?

follow this link https://websmp105.sap-ag.de/swdc and give a serch for SAPDB/MaxDB then down load as per your OS requirement.

Hari,

I've read that the "normal" MaxDB installation DVD or CDs doesn't work with the NWDW installation procedure because of its label.

Any other suggestions?

What is the cd/DVD no.(like 510xxxxxx) is suggested by your installation document? or what is the CD name suggested by the document? Search with that in the earlier link and down load it.
