File > Proxy scenario - Attached Files

I want to build the following process.

Sender File adapter send 1 trigger file with N attached other files.

File that plays role of trigger, contains needed information to creade a Document info record in R/3.

Attached file(s) must be linked with this D.I.R and stored in a content server.

Is 15 Mo as average size of attached documents a technical problem ?

Is it envisageable (regarding volume & memory aspects) to send attached documents with ABAP proxy to process them in R/3 ?

Thanks a lot

Jean-Charles

Hi,

File adapters , Mail Adapters and Proxies support attachments.

Check this artilce.

It shows how a File adapter can pick multiple files ( a XML file and a Attachment ) and then send it to a Mail.

Hi,

RFC and IDOC do not support it

basically attachments are handles via proxies

(ABAP, java) and some adapters like file, or mail

have a look at weblog:
