Hello All,
If I have 100 files in a folder, if XI comes and picking the files from the folder, while picking 50 files connection was lost in between and they are remaining
50 files are there to pick, in this scenario what happens after connection established XI will collect remaing 50 files or again it starts from first.
Hi Prasad,
I would suggest you to have different file folders to be used to keep your files.
Keep multiple communication channels for these many folders.
this will reduce wait time and also increase performance of scenario.
Hope it is useful.

Akshay

Hi Prasad,
Once the connection is established then it start polling the remaining files in the folders. Again it depends on the mode that u set in the sender channel parameters.
1) If u set the file to delete mode in the sender communication channel parameters then once reading the file it will delete the file and after establishing connection it will start from the next file which is available in the folder.
2) The same with archive mode..but before deleting it will take the backup of the file in the archive folder.
3) If u set the file to test mode then it will poll the file and process it..and again once the connection is established then it will freshly starts polling the files in the folder.

Prasanthi.

Prasad,
here what matters is the frequency you have mentioned in the file adapter and also the processing mode you have set.
If connection is broken after 50 file then when it is reconnected the file adapter will again look for the folder for the file not 50 exacltly, it will look for the file whose name is mentioned in the adapter.
if you want to specifically pick up 50 files after reconnecting then keep processing mode as DELETE.

Hi,
In the Sender communication channel set the Processing mode as Delete or to Archieve so that the files are deleted from the current folder or moved to some other folder specified in the Achieve directory.
Now only the remaining files will be there in the Specified director and XI will only pool the remaining files.
