Install Adobe Document Service

Hi,

I tried to install the ADS on my local AS. But I'm wondering now. Because if I go to the SAP Marketplace, I can only download the .SCA files

"ADSSAP20_0-20000262.SCA"

"ADSSAPOFF20_0-20000262.SCA"

If I look into the installation Guide it says I have to start SAPInst, but those files are only for deployment via SDM.

I tried to upgrade the Server via SDM but I get an Error that ist like this thread:

Does somebody know what is wrong. That thread didn't gave me any clue, even if its answered. And I have done all the things written in the documentation.

Thanks and best regards,

Dennis

Hello,

you need to apply these packages via SDM. First you need to apply the offline than the online part.

Is your J2EE engeine also Nw04 SP20?

Hi,

thanks for you reply.

I have done it like that. But I couldn't start the ADS and as I

tried to un and redeploy via sdm the whole application server crashed and I wasn't able to

start it anymore...

Right now I'm installing a new app server and hope it will work the next time.

Dennis

Hello Denis,

for Nw04 you have to deploy the correct version, and than take the configuration, what is described in the configuration guide.

http://service.sap.com/adobe

-> Media Library -> Documentation. -> Configuration Guide for NW04 /* I do not remember the exact name now */

Best regards,

Dezso
