automatic launching of workflows

Hi Everyone,

Can anybody tell me whats the differnece between record import, record add & record upadate and where are they all used for?

Hi Nitin,

there are special events for an automatic launch of a workflow.

<b>Record Import</b> means that your workflow is launched automatically as soon as you've imported a record using the Data or Import Manager.

<b>Record Add</b> means that your workflow is launched automatically as soon as you've manually created a record using the Data Manager.

<b>Record Update</b> means that your workflow is launched automatically as soon as you've manually changed an existing record using the Data Manager.

This solved my problem but i want to confirm one more thing that what happens when u give all the 4 options in trigger action.
