hi,

The answers provided are correct and again,

in remote client copy both servers should be in availble stopping the activities in both servers, where as with client export/import, the system will be asking for the availbility of one server at a time so the normal activities in other system can be performed as usual, for eg, while exporting only that system should be availble where as the target system can go with its regular activities and while importing the target system need to be availble where as source system can go with its regular activities.

award point if helpful.

hi,

Remote client copy is through RFC and it will not create a transport

request and the transaction for remote client copy is -SCC9.

Client Export is via transport, when you do a client export the system will

create more than 1 transport request depends on the

profile you select and transaction for client export is - SCC8. Client

Export will create cofile and data file in your source system

/usr/sap/trans data and cofile directory.

Copy the transport requests to

your target system.(Data file and Cofile).

These transport you need to import into the target client using tp

addtobuffer and tp import command, after the import you need to run

transaction - SCC7 in target system, which will perform the post import

activites for the client import.

Client Export will create cofile and data file in your source system

/usr/sap/trans data and cofile directory.
