CTM using Transportation Lanes created outside of SCM

Hi, I have a customer that is having trouble creating Transportation Lanes in APO b/c of volume and detail issues. They are interested in using our database to create this master data (transportation lanes) and basically use it as an input and send back to SNP so they can run CTM. Has anyone ever seen or heard of this being done before? The calculation/creation of transportation lanes outside of APO, and then for use in SNP?

Another reason they want to use the database is b/c the inputs to create transportation lanes are coming from different datasources, so it's easier to consolidate and create in a dedicated database.

I have not heard about this procedure, however I dont foresee any problem in doing that. In all likelihood you would need to update tables such as /sapapo/TRPROD and other T Lane specifc database tables. These are mostly editable programmatically or manually. This would require you to go through development route though.
