Hi all,
I have a question regarding the installation of SAP MDM 5.5 SP5 Patch02 in terms of 32- and 64-Bit versions. We are planning to upgrade our Windows Server to 64-Bit (due to performance reasons) and install the MDM Server 64-Bit version there.
Question: do we need to adjust anything on our local machines (e.g. laptop)?
I mean there is no need to switch to 64 Bit Gui Clients on the local environment, right? - Or what about the operating system on the local machine?
I appreciate any information on that!
Thank you very much!!!
Cheers,
Erdal.
Hi Erdal,
no, there's no need to upgrade the GUI clients to 64 Bit (I'm not sure, if they are available in 64 Bit version either?!). Anyways the 32 Bit clients are able to connect to the 64 Bit MDM Server.
Best regards
Michael

Hello Erdal,
MDM GUI clients are available on one platform - 32-bit Windows. They can be ran on either 32-bit or 64-bit Windows.
As Michael pointed out, they will work with servers built for any supported platform, including 64-bit Windows. There is no need to change the client machines.
Thanks,
Simon
