Hi,
I had assigned the output type to the sales doc header and i got the output of the header and the tems. What is the need of assigning Output type to the Item category?

You need to enable the output for either sales document header or item category.
In some circumstances, you may want various outputs for various line items for process related issues. In such cases, you have to assign the output type to item category, and based on teh IC of the line item, the relevant output will be triggered.

Hi keyur,
The o/p type can & header level & at item level.
header level will consists of customer credit details, customer category,customer discounts
item level is used for warranty details of items, promol offer for respective customer etc..
