I want to know what the limits of the mini sap like "SAP NetWeaver 7.0 ABAP Trial Version" are compared to a normal purchased sap netweaver system? I don´t mean that a normal sap system has a java stack too but the other limits and restrictions.
For example is it possible to store a blob or clob in the database of the abap trial minisap?
thank you for your helpful answer

Hello,
The <b>SAP NetWeaver Trial Versions</b> intent to let you experience the programming capabilities as well as the administrative side of an ABAP/Java application server. Applications developed with the trial version must not be transported into a productive running system.
For the trial versions there is no support as such, beside the support you get through these discussion forums.
The SAP SID is fixed and evaluation licenses are only available for these SAP SIDs. For instance, an ABAP system on Windows platform has the SAP SID <b>NSP</b>. Another thing regarding the ABAP trial is, that the bcuser is the only user allowed to develop applications in the system. Further there are no business application like ERP installed.
Storing blob or clob in the database should work as usual.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Klaus
