RFC Connections - Report

Good morning everyone,

I am in the process of auditing all RFC connections accross our landscape.

I know I can find all the information I need in SM59.

What I am really looking for is all the info (All tab info for each connection...etc) in SM59 in a table format.

At the moment if I want to move that info into a spreadsheet for review it is going to take me ages to copy and paste info.

The RFCDES table seems to contain some of the info but I would like to list all the details for each connection quickly.

Also,

Once I have audited the entire landscape I wan to be able to run a report that tells me what info may have changed accross a specific period for any of these RFC connections. RFC creation, update and deletion.

Any suggestions welcome

Thank you

Corinne

Hi Corinne,

You will get that info in description of RFCDES table.

I will let you know if any other table is available.

Hi Payal,

Thank you, the RFCDES table does indeed cover everything I will need to know at this stage.

Hi,

You can activate auditing for the RFC calls/ Log ons etc in SM19 and read the audit logs in SM20.

But dont forget to Deactivate auditing as it consumes lot of resources.

Hi Ruchit,

Thank you for the suggestion.

However I am not sure how to get to that report.

If I use it as a normal transaction, it is unrecognised in my system.

Is it a report that need to be enabled or created in the first place? Or should I call it differently? Not as a transaction?

Thank you

Hi Corrine,

OOps!!Sorry. Actually this was a query I had created long time ago using SQVI;based on RFCDES table . It has a better output that SE16 view.

Well you have 2 options wither use RFCDES or develop a simple ABAP code (which is something I ma using now a days).

Hi Ruchit,

I will see what I can do with the RFCDES table first.

That is a good start.

Thank you for your help
