Remote Desktop - No host available, all connections are down

Hi,

I have gone through all the available info related to this issue but didnt got any solution.

Current Scenario:

xMII 11.5 is installed and working fine on Server Machine at a port other than 80.

However, When i try to access it through the Remote Machine using the url: http://<ip address>:<port number>/Lighthammer/Menu.jsp, I get the error message: <u><b>No host available, all connections are down</b></u>

However, same thing is working absolutely fine at the server machine using the url: http://localhost:<port number>/Lighthammer/Menu.jsp

Do I need to make changes in some configuration file?

To add on:

http://localhost:<port>/Lighthammer/

is working fine on the server.

But,

http://<ip address>:<port>/Lighthammer/

is giving the error on the server - "No host available, all connections are down."

Please help me out.

Your Security Server configuration must also point to http://server:port/LHSecurity so you can access the menu using http://localhost/Lighthammer/Menu.jsp and selecting the appropriate configuration screen to make this change.

Hi Jeremy,

I can access LHSecurity as well as ServletExec from remote machine using the ipaddress in url. However, Lighthammer gives me the same error (No host available..)

Also, can you please tell me what you mean by "selecting the appropriate Configuration Screen" ?

One of the screens in the menu.jsp allows you to view and/or modify the LHSecurity server path, which may not include the necessary port.

The other problem may be DNS related since you can get to the server via IP address, but not how the security server is currently configured. This also could be giving you the error.

Regards,

Jeremy
