Hi Experts,

We have one smartform in Production directly. Now we want to tranfer this smart form to DEV (Development ) System.

I have released that request but when i am going to stms there is no request in that.

What is the procedure to tranfer request from PRD to DEV ?

Pl. guide us.

Hi Yusuf,

To transport request from Poduction to development, you need to change STMS configuration.

Hi Yusuf,

Please check following link

<a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/1c/2ddc0901db11d284870000e8a57770/frameset.htm">STMS Configuration</a>

Make sure no users are using development as well as production system.

You must remember current STMS configuration before changing it.

You have one more alternative.

After releasing request, you will get one co-file and data-file in your /usr/sap/trans/cofiles and /data folders.

Copy manually this files to the development server's respective folders.

Now go to STMS-> Extras-> Other Requests-> Add.

And import the request into development system.

I will suggest you to try second alternative.

Let me know if you are facing any problem.

Hi Payal,

I tried manually to transfer but when I copied that request from production server and pasted in development server in cofiles, the same number request exists in development but that request is for another program. So, what next now ?

Yusuf.

Hi,

Then request created in production should start with PRD*.

And if you will try to import it into development , it should not give conflicts.

Are you abel create request in production successfully?

Is it transportable request?

Hi Payal,

U R Right. The request is PRDK900397 created in production (Utilities->version->ersion management) but when i go to /usr/sap/trans/cofiles there is no files exists with this request. I am confused.

Hi,

Yeah I came to know why it has happened.

The thing is whatever request you are creating in production server is local request.

So for local erquest it won't create any data files or co-files.

What you need to do is:

Change your STMS setting.

The first alternative will be easier this way.

Make production system as source system and Development as target system.

and then create and release request.

you will have to revert the STMS settings once you are done with this.

Just follow the link which i sent earlier for STMS configuration.
