difference b/w timeseries & orderseries keyfigures

Hi ALL,

Which field will differentiate the timeseries keyfigure or orderseries keyfigure while configuring.

Key figures can be Order Series or Time series. They are just data containers when created

Its when you define the planning area details for the KF that you define their purpose...

you can enter a TS semantic

000 = Semantics for order objects in liveCache

001 = Semantics for the standard time series in liveCache

002 = Semantics for InfoCube key figures

KF sunctions Indicates the business meaning of a key figure for Supply Network Planning . The settings you make in the in the CatGrp and Category fields govern the types of order that are created or read for the key figure in liveCache

i have one more doubt regarding data loading in dp.can you provide me clear info regarding data upload by cif & bw.how we load the data into planning area,its through load planning area version.

DP transaction data is entirely Timeseries based.

SNP, PPDS uses Order Series data. Transaction data transferred via CIF to APO creates Order Series data and NOT Time series data. As a result R/3 transaction data CIFed to APO is not avilable for DP.

The way to get the transaction data to APO is to extract data from R/3 to APO-BW. From the BW Infoprovider (Infocube) use Load Planning Area version to populate transaction data in DP Time series keyfigures.
