recevering SPool request

Dear experts,

I have scheduled a background job, which give an output of nearly about 75k records/ pages. I was checking the spool list in the SM37 all of a sudden i had got a run time error terminating that "STORAGE_PARAMETERS_WRONG_SET".

That was a very important requirement, and i m not able to view the list now.

(Note: myprofile, have option checked "delete after output". )

Can i recover that deleted spool request( i have the spool request number)

Please its urgent(this is in production). Kindly help me i have all the Transactional log backup and full backup

Hey,

The dump is cause due to the fact you have a large spool, and there is not enough memory.

in order to fix the problem I would suggest:

1. increase the memory parameters (basis team)

I'm not sure you will be able to view 75K of pages,

in my option, after the change of parameter you will be able to see up to 50K

of pages.

2. change the logic of the program to write the spool into a table,

than you will be able to view the table in SE16.

(I think that se16 will display 75K of records, without changing your parameters...)

the second option is the right option when you have large output,

you should put it in a table (than you will also be able to select according to different fields...)
