RFC CONNECTIONS ERROR (Urgent)

Former Member

Hi,

We have updated Service 2 for Windows 2003 server for SAP.

We were facing few problems after the upgradation. So on the production system we reverted back to service pack 1 and development and quality have Service pack 2

We are able to release requests but in STMS transaction after selecting the reuired system it says unable to open import queue and the following error

RFC communications error with system/destination

TMSADM@ECQ.DOMAIN_ECD

Error opening an RFC connection.

Please reply as to what can be done as users are also not able to take print outs.

Also all SAN drives of DB instance are currently on CI instance.

Hello Parvez,

Please go to the OS level and then check the Database connection from SAP Server using the following commands

R3trasn -d , R3trans -x. Please check the logs for the same.

Apart from this you can also check incase the Service 2 for Windows 2003 is not allowing to communicate for the default port to make a RFC connection within the STMS.

Prem

Hi Parvez,

Please check RFCs between all 3 systems in SM59.

Do Authorization test also from Menu Test-> Authorization.

It seems some authorization problem.

Please check your STMS configuration.
